Rodeo star Spencer and wife Kallie Wright’s son Levi have died after a tractor accident left him in critical condition.

The three-year-old boy drove his toy tractor into a river in Utah on May 21 and Kallie was giving updates about your condition on Facebook since accident.

But a close family friend, Mindy Clark, confirmed after the family announced they were taking Levi off life support, that he died on June 2.

“The most perfect three-year-old boy who ever lived. So perfect that we couldn’t keep him. This boy has moved mountains in the last 12 days. He brought so many people together. In a world so dark, we could see the light in the hands of a child , he is everything his mother and father could have wanted him to be,” she said. wrote in a statement on Facebook.

In Kallie’s last Facebook update, she announced that they were facing their biggest fear and are “letting him go”.

“After several sleepless nights, a lot of research, multiple conversations with the best neurologists in the world and millions of prayers, we are here facing our greatest fear,” she wrote.

“Levi showed us just enough to buy us time for all of this. We prayed that he would defy the odds and prove to us that he wanted to stay here, but we see now that he wanted to give us time to find peace by letting him go.”

Levi has been hospitalized since the accident, where life-saving measures were taken when he was found in the water.

“During that time, he brought humanity to the entire country, he brought many to their knees and reminded them of what really matters in this world. That kind of gives the strength of the T-rex a whole new meaning, doesn’t it?” the post continued.

“Here soon I will go to bed with my baby and hold him as he falls asleep for the last time on this earth.”

“I find comfort in knowing that he will be restored to the perfect boy he was and will have the ability to do all the things he loves! I know there are angels up there waiting to hold you until I can again!” the post continued.

“We will miss him every second of every day here, but I feel, without a doubt, that this is the best thing we can do for him! We love you beans, and I can’t wait until the day you can ‘work the floor’ with me again!”

Along with the post, Kallie shared a video of her and Levi driving a machine together.

“You’re my best friend?” Kallie asked Levi as she kissed him on the cheek. “Yes,” he replied.

Kallie’s heartbreaking update came after she shared that Levi was back under sedation on May 30. In her update, she explained that he “couldn’t handle” being weaned from sedation and was being kept “comfortable.”

“It was heartbreaking to watch and he is now heavily sedated until the next step,” she wrote. “The MRI is tomorrow. It may show a difference from the first, or it may not. We are checking and verifying everything we can!”

In a Facebook update on May 24, Kallie said she and her husband Spencer were “devastated” by the results of their son’s first MRI.

Spencer was ranked 35th in the world in 2023 by ProRodeo and was world champion in 2014.

Spender and Kallie are parents to three children, a daughter named Steely and boys Levi and Brae.
